Mediterraneo-Anatolian hedgehog-heaths of the montane-Mediterranean

Tragacanthic communities of Mount Lebanon and Anti-Lebanon mountains, mainly of the montane-Mediterranean zone, especially dominated non-cuhion shrub [Astracantha gummifera] (Astragalus gummifer), sometimes acccompanied by, among others, [Berberis libanotica]. This habitat results from the degradation (deforestation, then overgrazing) of deciduous/evergreen oak forest and of conifer woodland of [Cedrus libani], [Abies cilicica] and/or [Juniperus excelsa].
