Shrub formations with [Rhamnus] spp., [Myrtus communis], [Rubia] spp., [Asparagus acutifolius], [Ephedra foemina], [Phillyrea latifolia], [Osyris alba], [Quercus calliprinos], [Calicotome villosa], [Laurus nobilis] and other species widespread in the whole thermo-Mediterranean zone. Other characteristic habitats are classified as subunits of this unit according to the dominant species.
