Eastern garrigues

Shrubby formations, often low, of the meso-, thermo- and occasionally supramediterranean zones. Included here are all sclerophyllous formations, regardless of substrate, except those with conspicuous spiny cushion structure, those with abundant thermo-Mediterranean scrub species and high maquis with [Arbutus andrachne].
