Reedmace [Typha] beds

Communities of the margins of rivers and brooks dominated by [Typha latifolia], [Typha australis] formations, usually extremely species-poor and sometimes almost pure, tolerant of extended periods of dryness, varying conditions of salinity, and of pollution. Although [Typha] species are dominant, other common species such as [Phragmites australis] may also occur.
