Screens or veils of perennial tall herbs lining watercourses

Tall herbs fringe communities on banks of running waters with humus horizon. Characteristic species are [Urtica dioica], [Mentha longifolia], [Angelica sylvestris], [Eupatorium cannabinum], [Pulicaria dysenterica]. Often replaced by neophytes or ruderal plants.
