Asio-Mediterranean short xeric grassland and therophyte communities

Open, short, grasslands of thermo/meso-Mediterranean areas with short or medium-sized perennial grasses adapted to grazing, such as species withbulbs or rosettes [Poa bulbosa], some annual grasses, e.g. [Stipa capensis], and rich in annual flowering plants, geophytes and legumes, e.g. [Trifolium subterraneum]. Can be found on both base-rich and acidic soils on slopes of Mount Lebanon and Anti-Lebanon
