Thorny cushion formations dominated by [Sarcopoterium spinosum] on calcareous substrates, including terra rossa, rendzina or sand, on hills near the coast, in mountainous regions in Mount Lebanon and Anti-Lebanon. There is often a significant participation of annuals.
